Yesterday, I felt like getting up close and personal with the birds, so I did. I had just made a bird feeder with our friend from church, Cory Madigan, who is a wood worker. I took my iPod and placed it in the birdseed in the bird feeder.
There are tons of different bird species that live in Hawaii. The most common visitors to the feeder are, Northern Cardinals, Red-crested Cardinals, Zebra Doves, and Spotted Doves.
After I placed my iPod in the birdseed, I waited. And this is what I saw...
There was a lot of competition.

This one comes so often we named him. He's Gus and his mate is Gertrude.
